Never underestimate the power of simple office supplies, such as Post-it Note. This a small square with re-adhearable adhesive on the back, is designed as as a reminder, a note, or for organization. This wallpaper, made by Duncan Wilson and Sirkka Hammer, consists of four notes of grey tones with a red backing. Pixelnotes create a functional wall – as you pick up the notes, the wall changes aesthetically.
As the top of the food chain, human might never think about we will be prey one day (of course, except in those fancy movie). However, check those extinct monsters in this post. Sabre-toothed tiger [link]
Extinct: ~10,000 years ago
This fabled beast with its extraordinary canines would be a sight to behold. There are some spectacularly preserved sabre-toothed specimens from the La Brea tar pits in Los Angeles, but the tar makes extracting DNA tricky, so nobody has been able to isolate decent sequences. However, there are also some permafrost-preserved specimens that might be a better source of DNA. If we could obtain a genome, a close living relative of the sabre-tooth, the African lion, should be a good egg donor and surrogate mother. Californians, beware!
I am completely fascinated when people can make unexpected products out of ordinary, everyday items. Just like our today’s topic – 15 Weirdest and Craziest Dresses, I never thought of we can make dress out of so much different materials, from condom to glove, from paper to zipper, from puff to chocolate…That is just amazing!!!
