Unusual 3D Rope Sculptures by Mozart Guerra
It’s hard not to be impressed by Mozart Guerra’s artistic sculptures as long as you realize they are created using rope that has been strategically wound over expansive foam. Brazilian-born, Paris-stationed artist Mozart Guerra worked as a set designer for theater, cinema, and TV in Brazil while developing his skill as a sculptor. Using nylon rope and Styrofoam, he builds surrealistic sculptures of candy-striped skulls, smoking monkeys, and geisha. Funky, modern and full of quirky qualities, Mozart Guerra’s work is unlike anything we would see regularly. A few choice selections below, be sure to view his extensive gallery of work at his website. [source]
