Adriano Alarcon is a São Paolo-based photographer, art director and BEARD MASTER. For his photo project “Fifty Fifty Selfie Barber Shop“, he spent four months cultivating his facial hair before shaving exactly half of it off. Then he started to fill some weird stuff in the other half of his beard, such as popcorn, plastic dinosaurs, puzzle pieces, and even some creepy stuff like fake bug and ant. Depending on what the pieces are, he’ll also pair his facial expressions accordingly.
Etsy Owner Stephanie Jarstad who created “The Twelve Beards Of Christmas“, is back with another bearded project – “A Beard for all Seasons, a calendar for 2015.” In this series, each month of the year is represented by a different holiday-decorated beard. For example, February’s beard is designed with hearts reflecting Valentine’s Day and Halloween’s beard is hanged over with ghost candy. Take a look at this fun series and if you want, you can purchase it here.
1. Manuary: New Years Eve Beard
The 29 bearded star, Isaiah Webb from San Francisco has shared his facial-hairstyle creations on instagram every Monday. Dubbed Incredibeard, Webb has grown his facial fuzz to large proportions, which allows him to transform it into many shapes, styles and purposes. He has so many crazy/creative beard design including the Wookiee’s Uterus, the Egyptian Ballsack and the Big Bowl O’Beard Ramen. While Webb’s beard is something extravagant, he encourages other men to give a beard a try – Every man should attempt to grow a beard at one point in their life.
Even I am not a big fan of beard and mustache, I still can’t help looking at these Hilarious Portraits form 2013 Just for Men National Beard & Mustache Competition, which hosted in New Orleans earlier this month. There are around 150 people from the U.S., U.K., and Canada who attended this event and competed in 17 different categories, ranging from the delicate Dali mustache to the anything-goes full beard freestyle. Wicky whiskers, bizarre sideburns, verdi beards, Fu Manchu mustaches, you probably can find all the facial hair creations you know in this competition. Thanks to the Vegas-based photographer Greg Anderson who documented this competition and bring us this spectacle facial hair show. Below is my favorite 10 portraits and if you want to see more, here is the collection.
