Foodscape: a Dreamy World of Food by Carl Warner

Carl Warner is a London-based photographer who uses fresh fruit, vegetables and meat to create foodscape and bring his imagination to life. Mr Warner starts work by drawing his ideas on paper. He then buys the produce and spends between one and three days assembling it with the help of pins and superglue. After photographing those setup layer after layer, he assembles them into one image in post-production which creates those dreamy landscapes and homey domestic scenes.

In Warner’s latest book “A World of Food” presents 12 of his amazing pictures – playful verse accompanies each image, guiding viewers through the pictures and inviting them to figure out the various foods used. And the idea behind that is to encourage healthier eating among younger children. Such a wonderful book for parents and children to look through together. And if you are interested in Warner’s fantastical world, you can check our previous posts about Warner’s work – “Fascinating Scape Work” and “Fascinating Food Landscape“.

Fascinating Food Landscape

About a month ago, I wrote a poster about “Mocking up Famous Painting with vegetable“, which is done by a Chinese Artist JuDuoQi. If you are also interested in it, you can click here to view the poster.

Today, I want to introduce another amazing artist “Carl Warner”, who build following beautiful scenes with food. It is said the reason why Carl began to think build scenes with food is contributed to his children who don’t like to eat vegetables. He tried to make those food into a lovely landscape to make his children like them. Thanks to that, we have chance to see that fairyland created.
