Japanese designer Yukio Takano builds these interesting lights using LEDs embedded in synthetic mushrooms on woods which just looks like a real thing at a quick glance. The variations in design mimic a variety of species and, just like many types of mushrooms, just not for eat. The small lights consist of LEDs that are embedded inside colorful, wavy sprouts to create a soft glow of anything from pale blue to warm yellow. Each light kit is complete with beautiful packaging, battery packs embedded in the base of the wood, and nifty retro on/off switches. Love this little LED mushroom – it is definitely a fun and unique way to brighten up any interior space!
There are some TV series are special to us. We cry with them, we laugh with them, we begin living with them. Not only the characters in those shows, we know their living places as well. Close your eyes and imagine you just walk into Simpsons home, how hard for you to find the kitchen or bathroom?
The Spain-based artist, Iñaki Aliste Lizarralde, has colorfully illustrated a number of aerial diagrams mapping out the floor plan of popular TV shows like Simpsons, Friends, Sex and the City, Two and a Half Men, Big Bang Theory… The artist’s scaled blueprints account for everything from architectural design to interior furnishings, and even some iconic details, such as famed couch in The Simpsons and Carrie Bradshaw’s roomy walk-in closet on Sex and the City. They are so precise that you could probably give any of them to your interior designer and create a real world replica of your favorite pop culture apartment.
