What you can do if you want to decorate the exterior house with plants but don’t want to have vine crawling everywhere? OA: Lab did something smart and unconventional when design a dwelling in Seoul, Korea. They ingeniously integrated nature into the structure’s façade – making plant pots embedded exterior wall. Generally, they use glass fiber reinforced concrete to form a series of bulbous, tear-drop shaped pocket panels. Each pocket features a wide opening—which allows the flowers to flourish—that then tapers to a triangular point. A variety of blooms can be planted in these panels, and their neutral coloring is a gorgeous contrast to natural green, pink, and purple plants.
If you are looking for something to spice up your Halloween party, the creative candle and candle holder presented here might be the thing you are looking for. Named “The Jack“, it is actually a ceramic base (in shape of skull, rabbit or deer) in white or black color that you “fill” with a candle in the shape of rabbit ear or deer antler or the brain. Both the candle holders and candles had to be optimized to ensure that the scented wax would flow through the eyes the way they wanted it to. Coming with 5 scents: pure cotton, lavender, vanilla, cocopalm or cacao. Imagine yourself put the candle on fire and let the scents permeating through your space – while the brain melts and drips out of the eyes like the skull is crying. Sounds a bit creepy? But it is perfectly cool for Halloween. Moreover, if you are not the candle person, you still can use these cool holder as plant pot. It is definitely something to make you desk a bit cool.

Here is a new trend in gardening which gardeners create fairy garden / mini garden with broken pot or planter. Such garden can be created either from the shards left from an accidental break or from a carefully planned cut. Those broken pieces will be arranged into tiers or steps succulents and moss to grow on. To make it more fairy looking, small figurines or houses are added to the pot to make it a home for tiny and fantastical creatures.
The whole idea of the project is to invite you to use your imagination and create something totally unique. The basic process involves collecting a clay pot and its broken shards, filling the larger portion of the pot with soil, and then positioning the fragments accordingly. Take a look at some examples we rounded up below and the video tutorial at bottom if you want to build your own fairy garden.
