Designed by Park+Associates Architects, the Greja House looks like a white translucent box from outside. The translucent glass is used to create a permeable skin that not only dissolves the boundary between inside and outside but also brings filtered daylight while maintaining a degree of privacy. This seamless fluidity is also extended vertically by connecting all floors with a beautiful central spiral staircase that is carefully positioned above a water feature which is carefully designed to be the main focal point for this house. Besides the water flow under stairs, huge living wall is also an eye-catching feature of the house, which cleverly blurred the boundary between outside and inside, making the house a living garden.
This simple but cheerful family home in Ravenscourt, London has been decorated with a simple red and white theme with a retro touch. Red accents like doors, stairs, chair, lighting, painting and cushion are carefully selected and placed around in the white room. The eclectic decor provides a sense of quirkiness that feels both homey and stylish. The red carpeted spiral staircase successfully connected two floors and provides continuity to the theme. Such a lovely and playful house!
