Created by Russian artist Vladislav Poliakov, “Star Wars Typographic Portraits” is a fantastic series of illustrations that are one of the best examples of Typographic art that I have ever seen. By changing the shade of color and taking advantage of negative space, Poliakov successfully create contrast between shadow and light, and give 3D look to his portraits. There are three characters in this series, which are arth Maul, Yoda, and Darth Vader. Which one is your favorite?
Typography portraits might not be that surprised for you. While below portraits have something specious, these singer portraits are created with their song lyrics. Sean Williams, the designer, photographer, and art director is the person who is behind these conceptual designs. Entitled Hip Hop Type, Williams took the lyrics from popular songs by each subject, including Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, Harry Styles, and Kanye West. With the clever use of negative space, Williams warped, curved, and re-sized the letters to fit perfectly together, forming instantly recognizable faces.
