Nature and fine art photographer Dalton Portella captures magnificent photos during storm near the precipice of the raging Atlantic Ocean. With the storm coming, the ocean moves with violent force to create waves that curl up and crash down again in an instant. Dark, ominous clouds and streaks of lightning fill the sky and transform the world into an alien landscape . By only looking at these dramatic photos, you will almost feel the mist of the ocean water spraying up throughout the air! Excellent work!
With long shutter speeds and camera motion makes Santa Barbara-based photographer David Orias see the world in ways our eyes cannot see. Look at those waves photographs David took along the coast of Southern California, it is just NOT the normal waves we can see anywhere. Orias said, “I shoot mostly at dawn and the geography of the location allows higher ambient light levels before the full illumination by the sun. Colors are created by different weather conditions, amount of clouds or even smoke in the air from local wildfires which are often prevalent.”y.
