Design: WAITINGWOOOD (iF Design 2025 – Babies/Kids Winner)

Hey there, fellow design lovers! If you’re anything like me, your home feels like a constant rotation of “out with the old, in with the new” as the kids sprout up overnight.

We honestly have to thank IKEA for making us all fall in love with the idea of transformable child furniture. They really paved the way by showing us that a crib doesn’t just have to be a crib—it can be a toddler bed, too! But today, I’m starting a super exciting new series to open our eyes to even more of these cool, high-end designs. There is a whole world of innovation out there that deserves some serious attention.

First up is the QuickStudy Desk by WAITINGWOOD. This iF Design winner is a masterclass in growing with your child. Looking at the design, you can see a beautiful, natural wood A-frame that feels both sturdy and light.

What’s really cool is the modularity. The side panels feature a pegboard-style design, allowing you to hang storage bins, hooks, or even a paper roll for drawing. The desk surface itself can be adjusted in height and angle, transitioning from a flat play table to a tilted drafting desk as your child grows from age 0 to 10+. It even includes a matching stool that fits perfectly into the aesthetic.

The QuickStudy Desk isn’t just about looks; it’s about spatial efficiency. It packs a lot of functionality into a small footprint, making it perfect for modern homes.

This piece proves that child furniture can be a long-term investment that looks like a piece of art in your home. Stay tuned for the next part of this series as we look at more 2025 winners!
