Imagine finishing a long run and instead of dragging yourself back home, you hop onto a sleek ride that was running alongside you the whole time. That’s the idea behind Trego, an autonomous mini scooter designed by YUPD and Wooks. It’s not just a scooter—it’s a personal running partner that switches roles depending on what you need.
Here’s how it works. Trego connects to your phone and has two modes: AI Mode and Mobility Mode. In AI Mode, it actually runs with you. Thanks to sensors and smart onboard tech, the scooter adapts to your pace, keeps rhythm, and even tracks your stats like distance, calories burned, and running pace. It’s like having a coach and a support vehicle in one.
Once you’re done running, that’s where Mobility Mode kicks in. No more dreading the walk home—Trego unfolds its handlebars, extends its foldable footrests, and transforms into a comfortable ride. There’s even a built-in seat and a storage compartment that doubles as a place to stash water bottles or gadgets.
Safety hasn’t been overlooked either. The autonomous mini scooter comes with front and rear cameras plus obstacle-detecting sensors. Whether it’s in running mode or riding mode, it automatically adjusts to avoid collisions with people, vehicles, or anything else in your path.
What makes Trego stand out is how seamlessly it blends exercise with convenience. It’s not only about getting a workout but also about making the whole experience—before, during, and after—easier and smarter. With its docking station for charging and its futuristic design, Trego feels like a glimpse into the next wave of personal mobility.
So, would you let an autonomous mini scooter run with you and then carry you home? Trego makes that future look pretty tempting.
