Named as “Rocky“, this series of bookcases are designed by Lebanese designer Charles Kalpakian featuring well-defined angular and sculptural lines. Playing with perceptions of space and volume, Kalpakian created a 3D variation of a classic bookcase. Made of steel, the coating of the shelves has a slightly textured touch and comes in three different colors.
For me, “Rocky” is more like a sculptural piece, although it can accommodate books and objects to become the most graphic display or bookshelf. However, would you spend around $4,820 to buy a bookcase? Definitely not me! But have to admit, it looks so cool and you can’t help but doubt yourself when look at these bookcases. That is just too mind boggling!
