All those unbelievable dog photos were taken by photographer Ren Netherland, from Clearwater in Florida who has traveled across the US in a mobile studio visiting creative grooming conventions and taken photos for the winners of the show. During those shows, groomers have roughly two hours to cut the dogs’ hair into the designs and add color. They use Blo-pens, colored artist’s chalk and temporary hair color spray to achieve their effects. Ren said many people emailed him and said it’s cruel to do this to dogs. But Ren mentioned dog actually love the attention and he never saw a groomer harm their dogs. Hope those dogs are as happy as Ren said.
