After 25 years of creating art, Turkish illustrator and art director Ilker Türe has definitely found his visual language—and it’s hard to miss. His playful illustrations are packed with bold geometry, quirky characters, chunky blocks of color, and just enough texture to make everything feel like it has been cut from paper.

Türe has a particular talent for making characters feel wonderfully exaggerated. Roman soldiers, fishermen, travelers, and historical figures all get his signature treatment, complete with oversized noses, long limbs, angular silhouettes, and amusing little details. Even when a character looks simple at first glance, there’s usually something happening around them that adds another layer to the story.

That storytelling is what makes Ilker Türe’s illustrations so much fun to explore. Some are clean and minimal, while others are filled with objects, characters, and tiny visual surprises. Yet his geometric illustrations always feel connected by the same distinctive graphic style.

His work has also taken him far beyond personal projects. Over the years, Türe has created illustrations for major brands including Apple, Coca-Cola, Starbucks, Turkish Airlines, Lipton, and Red Bull. More recently, his character illustration style has stepped onto the football field through projects for LEGO and FIFA, where he transformed stars such as Lamine Yamal and Lionel Messi into his wonderfully angular world.

Whether he’s drawing a historical figure or a football superstar, Türe proves that geometric illustrations don’t have to feel rigid. With a little imagination, sharp shapes can have plenty of personality.
