After the first glance of photo below, you might think it is some kind of toy or tilt shift photography. But it is actually a real car, a front-loading super compact vehicle from Swiss mobility company Micro. Called “Microlino“, this Eight Foot Micro Vehicle has just been approved for European streets. The mini electric vehicle is smaller than a Smart Car, and comes with a rechargeable battery that works with any standard European electricity outlet.

The Microlino has two seats, a kerb weight of 450 kg, a range of 120 or 215 kilometers (bigger battery) and a maximum speed of 90 km/h, which is more than enough for an urban environment. With just 2.4 meters length, the Microlino is ideal for cross-parking. Most interesting design of the car to me is its front-entrance, which means you can get our directly on the sidewalk. The selling price is around 12’000 Euros. Swiss consumers can expect the vehicles to arrive later this year, with cars reaching the German market in early 2019.
