In most time, origami is associated with sharp and precise folding. However, Vietnamese artist Hoàng Tiến Quyết shies away from this rigidity, instead he produces curved paper forms using a difficult technique known as “wet-folding”. As the name suggests, water is involved, and it’s used to soften the paper during the folding process, so that curving line instead of the typical straight lines can be created. With this technique, Quyết can give his paper animal more personality, making them looks like malleable even though the pieces dry into hardened forms. Like those unusual origami works?
