Let’s be honest: most playgrounds are a bit… predictable. You’ve got your standard slide, a couple of swings, and maybe a wobbly bridge if you’re lucky. They do the job for a few years, but eventually, the plastic cracks, the metal rusts, and the whole thing ends up looking a bit sad. But designers Marlena Kostrzewa, Aleksandra Kwaśniewska decided it was time for a glow-up with their award-winning Nolmo Garden collection.

Winning a prestigious EPDA (European Product Design Award) is no small feat, and this collection earned its trophy by treating playground design like high-end architecture. Instead of just “background infrastructure,” Nolmo Garden is a masterclass in circular design. The big idea? Every single part is modular and easily replaceable. No more tearing out an entire structure just because one panel is worn out—you just swap the part and keep the fun going!

What’s truly cool is how these pieces grow with the kids. We often forget that what’s a mountain to a four-year-old is a speed bump to an eight-year-old. This sustainable approach means the equipment evolves alongside the community, staying relevant (and sturdy) for years. It’s a “grown-up” solution for the most energetic members of the family.

Nolmo Garden proves that outdoor gear can be both beautiful and incredibly tough. It’s designed to be rained on, climbed over, and loved intensely without ending up in a landfill. It’s rare to see a playground that parents want to look at just as much as kids want to play on, but this collection totally nails that balance.
