Macro photography is close-up photography; the classical definition is that the image projected on the “film plane” (i.e., film or a digital sensor) is close to the same size as the subject. Generally, that kind of close-up picture will reveal details that can’t be seen with our naked eye.

Very creative and artistic. Excellent composition. Have you tried frogs? They make beautiful pix, too!
