Like the Lego animal sculptures we featured yesterday? Today we will present you with another set of stunning animal sculptures made of thousands of glass beads. Kohei Nawa, the artist behinds those amazing glass art, is a sculptor and assistant professor at Kyoto University of Art and Design. He has done a lot of great artwork, while for me, his work in beads is particularly interesting. By covering surface of an object with transparent glass beads, the existence of the object itself is replaced by “a husk of light“, and the new vision “the cell of an image” (PixCell) is shown.
