We have been seeing many weird cake creation in these days, geometry cake, flower cake, meal-like cake and even a snake cake. Although some of these sculpted cake are pretty odd, I have to admit the rug cake is definitely one of the most bizarre cake I have seen. Because I never think about I will eat something like rug.

Created by Los Angeles-based baker Alana Jones-Mann, instead of conventional cake-decorating, Jones-Mann has found inspiration in an unlikely source: the humble shag rug. Featuring colorful, abstract designs and textured surfaces, Jones-Mann’s carpet confections capture the spirit of the ’70s staple. Through a meticulous piping technique, she is able to evoke the psychedelic patterns and free-spirited aesthetic of the fuzzy floor coverings. Take a look at below fuzzy-looking cake, and let us know how much you want to have a bit on them.
