Hidden Face in Advertisement Design
I once wrote a post about the hidden faces in our life, today, I am going to say something about hidden faces in ads design.
First set is from Club Med, a French corporation of vacation resorts found in many parts of the world, usually in highly exotic locations. There slogan is “Discover New Worlds, Discover New People”. So, you can see lots of hidden, smiling faces in their ads campaign.
This one is from Panasonic: Intelligent Face Detector – even unborn baby is detective.
This one is from Treasury Casino – Let The Good Times Roll – The whole big smiling face is made of lots of small dices.
And this set is from a HOUSEHOLD CLEANING PRODUCTS. It seems like there are angry evil faces on every plate….But not sure the connection between those faces and product.
Street Art from PIRELLI CINTURATO. It looks like the pretty lady on the ground is drawn by the marks of tire.
This one is from La Diaria Newspaper. Reality is complex. To understand it, you have to keep some distance. La Diaria. The independent newspaper.
When you are really close, the ads is nothing but a bunch of color blocks. However, when you see it at distance, there are our hidden faces.
The next four ads are from WWF (World Wildlife Fund) . The aim of this ads campaign is to call on people to protect forest… “Forests have eyes, they are looking at us.”
The last one is really old design, around 2000. It is designed for PLAYSTATION 2 GAME CONSOLE. The big joyful face is made of tons of people… But it is still an awesome design.
