How is your first week of the new year? A bit overwhelmed? At least for me, it is always a bit crazy at the beginning of the year. Too many plans! I should really learn how to slow down a bit and put myself in a “Zen” Mode.

The “Zen” word has been quite popular for many years. It is a state of calm attentiveness in which one’s actions are guided by intuition rather than by conscious effort. In these days, most of us try to hard or have to push ourselves. It is not bad and I personally admire those hard-working, determined people and I think I am one of them. But sometimes, take a break and “being in the moment” is important for us as well. That is the reason “Zen” style has influenced the interior design quite a lot.

The easiest way to gain “Zen” influence is to bring more natural elements into the interior. Ranging from bonsai trees to bamboo plants, to legendary Japanese art paintings which all blend with modern style today without eliminating elements of Zen culture. It is all about living in harmony with nature consisting of rocks, trees, moss, rivers, and plants. If space is allowed, some owner will choose to have a dedicated corner as their “Zen” Corner. If not, a small Zen style table decoration or wall art certainly help to. In this article, we will show you some beautiful interior influenced by “Zen”. Hope it will be useful to help you make your own peaceful/relaxing space.
