Solar: a Multi-functional Solar Lamp and Coffee Table

Designed by Jean Marie Massaud, “Solar” is a new type of object, a contemporary hearth around which to gather and chat, at home or outside. The surface finishes are different: glossy white or dark wood for the indoor version, with a characteristic rusty and textured effect for the outdoor version. The rotational polyethylene hemisphere offers a light which also functions as a table. Versatile in its intended settings, it is also designed to be tilted in several positions, providing different types of lighting and hence affording different atmospheres, depths and effects. A bright, warm and intimate center of attraction, Solar has an impressive ability to integrate this thing in almost any interior.
