Inspired by Polish artist Przemek Krawczński who carves lamp head out of gourds, artist Vainius Kubilius carefully crafts coconut shell that project visually exciting and exotic patterns of light on adjacent walls, ceiling, and floor. The whole lamp is created from coconut, suede, and cork. Those unusual material give each lamp an almost snake-like appearance. To create the head of lamp, Krawczński need to drill thousands of holes on the coconut to allow the light to spill out in a variety of intricately formed patterns. After careful shaving, waxing, and drilling, the coconut head shines like some sort of jewel. Click here if you want to buy these unusual handcraft lamp, although $200 price isn’t that cheap for a one head lamp.
