Collaborated with Jim Fishman, Scott Slagerman Studio create a unusual collection of the Wood and Glass – a group of sculptural pieces that are made from fallen trees and hand blown glass in their Los Angeles studio. To create each piece in the collection, Scott first drew the design on to the wood then cut it out using traditional woodworking techniques. Then, molten glass is blown directly into the cut-out shape and in to the wood. By doing that, the glass directly into the wood cut-outs which allows the glass to perfectly fit and they look as if they were naturally formed together.
