What is the colour for love? Most people might think that is red. But what is the colour for the first love? In Japanese pastry maker Qu’il Fait Bon‘s mind, it should be pink-ish white. Hence they created their fruit tart is made with a white strawberry called Hatsukoi no Kaori, which literally translates to “The Scent of First Love.” After 20 years of research done by plant suppliers and fruit breeders in Japan, the first white strawberry was created using only a tad bit of anthocyanin (which gives red strawberries their colour). Once it’s ripe, the unique fruit turns light pink, making it the ultimate romantic luxury. This delectable and pretty tart will cost you 12,420 yen ($105.67) and will be available until the end of February. So if you’re in Japan for Valentine’s Day, you may want to consider paying a visit to Qu’il Fait Bon to experience the unusual “scent of love.”
