Dominic Wilcox is an artist who create magic things out of boring and uninteresting everyday objects. In his last project “Field”, he took 700 eco-friendly shoes and turned their shoelaces into what looks like growing grass. The project aims to breath life into the simple, inanimate shoe, making a connection with nature while referencing the lives of the absent owners. The shoe laces rise up into the air as though growing towards the light creating a field of green on a bed of earth.
