Paper-cutting is one of the most popular art formats which we have talked quite a lot. Some artists choose to create very intricate and complex paper work on a single sheet while some artists like Patrick Cabral choose to create 3D effect of art using multiple layers of paper.
Cabral’s most famous works are about portraits of endangered animals. The complex, abstract patterns with intricate slices offer an apt metaphor; like their fragile construction, the fate of those real animals like pandas, snow leopards, and pangolins hangs in the balance. It’s up to us to save their dwindling populations before it’s too late.
Cabral is selling his work through the online art auction site called Acts of Kindness and 50% of his sale goes towards the World Wide Fund for Nature in the Philippines.
