The collection named SIMPLICITY was born from the collaboration between Carlo Santambrogio and the designer Ennio Arosio with the aim of giving “transparent” shape to a precise and essential way of conceiving and living the spaces. Using extra-clear glass by Saint Gobain, Carlo Santambrogio and Ennio Arosio not only create glass product such as glass kitchen, glass bathtub, glass bed and glass bookcase, they also use it as structural material to build glass ceiling, floor, wall and staircases. The result is quite stunning. The glass house bears witness to the succession of natural phenomena, responsive to their contrasts, reflecting and integrating into its transparencies. However, for me, when everything becomes transparent, it just make me scared. But I have to admit it does look cool. Maybe good for showroom or office space, but live there… no way.
