Sculpted from clay, Israeli ceramicist Ronit Baranga creates some extremely unusual / disturbing ceramic sculptural works. Sprouting human fingers and gaping mouths are two common elements in Baranga’s work. The pieces are both silly and sinister as they come to life as if from a cartoon. I am not really sure who would love to use such tableware in life and I just can’t imagine take food from the “mouth” plate.
