Originally trained as an illustrator, the British artist Candice Bees have now turned to sculpture to portray wild and domestic animals using wire as a medium. To present her sculpted animal in a more realistic way, she spent countless hours studying the animals and their behavior so that she can identify the tiny behavioral movements and quirks which bring each creature to life.

From lift size wolf, hare, fox, whippet and bird to small sizes fictional dragon, crow, dog and elephant, she has already created many impressive wire animal sculptures and she continues to push the limits of what this material can do. Personally, I like her birds’ sculpture most. The birds are so vivid and look like they want to fly with the wire wings. Check her site or follow her on facebook to see more of her amazing work.
