These sleek while whimsical mugs and bowls were handmade by ceramicist Abby Dawson (Divine Pine Studios), based in southern Michigan. Adorned with three to four red-capped spores, each whimsical vessel is sculpted on a wheel or by hand, and very few are recreated.
When asked the idea behind these interesting fungi mugs, Dawson sees her fully functional vessels as both an intimate way to connect with others and as a reminder of environmental webs.
I am not sure how functional/practical these bowls and mugs are, but they are definitely an eye-candy. I even think to use them as planters. That will be so cool.
