Delicate Crocheted Leaf Sculptures

You can crochet a lots of things – scarf, head-wear, toy or huge sculptures, but most likely you crochet yarn or thread. While artist Susanna Bauer tries to do something different – she managed to add tiny crocheted embellishments of cotton yarn to the rigid edges of large dried magnolia leaves and create some fascinating yet delicate sculptures. To work with fragile material like dry leaves is difficult enough to have a double thought. Food on Head: Food Shape Crocheted Headwear by Phil Ferguson

The Melbourne-based artist Phil Ferguson tries to delight us with his ongoing series of crocheted headwear. He created those oversize food like pizza, avocados, bacon, and eggs into hats and cowls. Although these accessories look time consuming, Ferguson’s process is surprisingly simple and quick. One piece never takes him more than a day to make.
