Designed by Art Buro, this apartment is owned by a young couple, both working in the creative industries and want their home be a multi-functional space influenced by Japanese style of living combined with London objectives. When look around the apartment, you will find there are many luxury accents as well as art and contemporary features representing the best feeling of urban life. All private zones are invisible in the design. A wooden wall in fact is an entrance to the bathroom and the wardrobe; white stairs also feature some storage space and dining area units in fact contain a self-contained kitchenette. This interesting apartment is located in Kaohsiung city, Taiwan, owned by a 30-year-old engineer who want to have a home with natural cement-based environment for him to relax after long busy work. Combining with travelling idea, suitcase board is used as storage as well as decoration in the living room. To have more space, the metal mini bar is the choice for dining. Foldable glass door is used to separate living room and study room to have more natural light. Steel bars were applied to shelving to avoid the heaviness of shelf in study room. Quite a unique design.

According to the designer, the owners of this home- a young couple request a minimalist yet modern design. Basing on the requirement, the designer cleverly combines industrial style and a wink of humor in this place. For example, the dining area is composed of four chairs that vary in shape and color; minimalist wire artwork in widely used in the room; clean lines of furniture and floating bed continue impress viewer with contemporary youthful look. Moreover, the designer also “replicated” the dinning area design in balcony terrace. Four color chairs and same style table makes things fresh and colorful for outdoor relaxation.
