We all know some birds eat fishes, but how many of us see the scenes of they catching fishes? Photographer Salah Baazizi give us this chance by taking close-up photos of birds plucking fish from the waters around Bolsa Chica in southern California. These super clean shots of terns, herons, and cormorants give the illusion Baazizi is sitting just inches away and having his camera down birds’ beaks. However, he actually uses a 400mm super telephoto lens and positions himself at great distances to get these photos. “Stamping down on poaching” is a creative campaign led by Pro Wildlife to raise awareness of wild animal protection. To achieve the awareness required, German angency Guertlerbachmann used a surprising and unseen medium – stamp. They actually designed a set of three donation stamps for Pro Wildlife. The stamp is part of a postcard and is exactly the part of an animal which is the trophy, such as the tusks of an elephant. 50 cents from the sale of each stamp went to Pro Wildlife. With the tagline “Every trophy costs a life. Your donation can save it.”, the campaign successfully raised a total of € 41,000 for Pro Wildlife.
