Unless I read the description, I wasn’t aware this is a series ads for the cookware company Eva Solo and just thought they are some interesting photography project about the food and recipe. Not sure is that a successful design or not. However, its minimalist appearance and neat arrangement of food is quite appealing as a visual recipe. But anyway, here is the words from the artist about the idea behind this project: We tried to show a product and ingredients together, illustrating a certain dish ideally made in that specific product. The images both function as a presentation of a product and as inspiration to various recipes.
When we see the images of pregnant moms gaze and cradle their bellies, we are flooded by the mother’s love. Inspired by such loving feel, German beer Bergedorfer Beer switches the sexes, asks underwear-clad men cradling bulging tummies of their own with iconic poses commonly used by mothers-to-be. The soft, dewy images were created by German advertising firm Jung von Matt. With the slogan “Brewed with love” as its slogan. I guess, Bergedorfer Beer think there is nothing a man love more than beer. Honestly, I am quite speechless by looking at these smiling men. However, no matter I like it or not, this is a pretty unusual design and will get my attention right the way. How do you like these ads?
These beautiful ice cube sculptures blow our minds of any ice cube we can imagine. Featured in in ads for the Suntory, a Japanese brand of whiskey, these stunning ice cubes come in various shapes, from Batman and deadmau5 to Statue of Liberty and astronaut. It is not simple to create ice cube sculpture like that. It was first designed via Autodesk 123D app, useful for turning images of things into blueprints for 3D printers. Then a CNC router is used to carve the designs into the ice block. The ad company (tbwahakuhodo.co.jp) who made the project, added that sculptures are finished when “a touch of chilled whiskey polishes the surface of the ice and gives a beautiful shine to the sculpture.” Let’s first take a look at these crystal looking ice sculptures and don’t forget to watch amazing whiskey ads which use the ice cube at the bottom.
